nope. only header options are LCE and DT. go ahead and go into the 4 cylinder subforum, search forum and type in header.

thanks. So most headers are designed for 4000+ rpms?

I searched around and was not able to locate the info I was looking for.

There are threads on this very page that will help. There's the DT and LCE? I hear the lce has slightly better numbers down low but both have decent gains over stock.

I saw that thread. I did not see any actual hp or torque numbers. I saw one reference to 3500+ rpms. im looking for concrete numbers. I'll look look around some more.

The 4 bangers have a limited choice for headers. Both sets are pretty much long tube. The one that will increase low end power the most is a 4-2-1 header design. Starts with 4 tubes, merges into 2 then ends in one.

Both the dt and the lce will serve you well. The lce will give you slightly better torque and hp readings than the dt on a dyno test but they are so close that you won't be able to physically tell a difference between the two. I have had both the headers on my truck and that's what I came up with. I'm still waiting on my friend in the mechanic shop that ran the dyno test for me to get me my results graphed but as soon as he does look for it on the lce vs dt header thread.either one will serve you well. the price is about a 40 dollar difference

I'm on the fence whether to buy the LCE for my 2.7. It would be nice to have a little extra torque for the hilly roads locally and to see an increase in MPG (currently 21 with winter gas).

At $430.00, it would take me about 1.5 years to recover the cost IF it increased my MPG by 2. I can't make up my mind!

Go for it its the best mod you can do for the price. With a header your opening up the exhaust flow making it easier for your engine to push exhaust out of the piston chamber. When you relieve that pressure it makes it easier for your engine to run. Less work on the engine = less wear over time. Not only will you get better hp and torque but in the long run it will be better for your engine. That its if your not hot rodding your engine

Personally I'd get the LC Engineering header. The posted dyno shows more low end torque and looking at it the tubes appear to be equal length. There are people who have each and swear by the exact one they have so I guess you can't go wrong with either really.
