96 2.7. Got a flowmaster 40 series on it now. Want to quite it down a lil more. What muffler would help?

50 or 70 series or the stock one which soundslike a quad once the cat is gone.

I'm running the 40 series with a straight 2.5 inch piping no cat, I'm thinking about adding a resonator which would quiet it down abit

Cut my cat out and gained power, it was not totally stopped up but I'm not really buying into the whole power loss in the low end dealio.

I'm not basing my opinion on sound but an increase in torque, I understand the fundamentals of backpressure and exhaust scavenging, however I believe that the exhaust and muffler provide plenty of both. If anything it would be more affected by the OBD II due to the downstream O2 sensor, I did not experience any power loss issue although I expected to. Sometimes real world facts are different than theoretical opinions.
