Would running a 285/70/17 all terrain on a 17x9 rim be to big for my truck it's a 2012 reg cab with a 3in lift would it rub if so how bad? Or do you all have any other suggestions of a rim tire size combo? Thanks any help would be appreciated

ultimate lift kit ( toytec ) ome dakar leaf pack , w/ extended length billies, LR uca's, Pro comp 7089s, KM2's 285 70 17, neoprene seat covers, weather techs, CBI sliders w/kickout, URD ss, cab mount chop, VHT night shade tint>tails,3rd B-light. Debadged. Grillecraft grille, rear diff breather mod. CBI Moab front bumper, warn M8000 winch, HID kragens 7", Hella's micro fogs. retrofit headlights HIDS, LED solutions maps/license! 886 back up light mod,
I have pro comp 17 x 9, 4.5" back spacing, I can't remember the off set and 285 70 17 km2's. I have the ultimate lift set at just above 3" and I had to cab mount chop, pinch weld mod to get rid of all the rub at full droop, turn radius in both directions and flexed out to the max. Also note that I removed my mud flaps. If your staying with stock bumper you will need to trim there also.

Toytec ultimate lift, tc uca's, all pro exp leafs, K&n intake, nfab steps, magnaflow dual exhaust, tonneau cover, grillcraft grill, pioneer z1 head unit with custom kickers behind rear seats, kicker zx750 mono amp, all around Alpine speakers, remote start alarm.
I have an 11, 3 inch lift with 1 inch spacer, just put the 285 nitto's on, and all that rubs a little is that little nub water catcher plastic thing right in front of front tires, little trim, no cab mount or anything

I talked to soon, didn't have to back up for a few days after tire install, but that's where it rubbed, when I went in reverse and had it cut all the way, just had to trim about half an inch on both sides of the front bumper right at the corner in front of front wheels, but that was it. No major cutting, trimming or cab mount chop.
