I have the 2013 AC with 4x4 and 5 speed. I absolutely love it. Great little truck to get around with and do light work. I am fortunate to have a 99 F-350 diesel for heavy stuff. Don't want to scratch my truck anyways. My only advice is don't buy black! I love my Taco but it is a pain to keep show room new!

Finally got the rims put on. Kind of a production.
But at least now I look a little less like I work for the pest control company. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You will still get that with the convinence package. I love that look too especially with my red truck. As I stated in an earlier post I don't mind cranking down the windows but having the convinence package doesn't ruin my day :D

the "dream truck" makes me laugh cause when the 2nd gen came out in 05 i told myself that was gonna be my next vehicle and for 3 years it remained the only truck or car that i wanted until i finally bought it. haha so i know the feeling

Does anyone know anything about a supercharger for us 2.7s?
    Is there even such thing?
    Is it worth it?
    Will it add much power?

Below is my one and only

URD makes a SC kit for our trucks. It adds a lot of power. Like 100hp. There is a thread on the kit on here. Search URD supercharger for 2tre and you should find it

Well I thought I was going to be driving my new 2014 Tacoma AC 4x4 4banger manual tonight but I guess here in Massachusetts they don't do temp tags or 30 day tags and you cant get your new vehicle until the dealer gets the tags and then you get your car. oh well it is suppose to get delivered to my house either Tuesday or Wednesday.

He's got a 1st gen ie the 3rz. I doubt anyone makes a kit for the 3rz as it has been out of production for quite a while. Honestly unless you're just in love with your truck or it has some sort of sentimental value you're best to just upgrade to a v6 truck. A supercharger doesn't increase resale, a factory equipped v6 truck does. Plus a supercharger adds complexity and maintenance that a standard v6 doesn't require.

By upgrading I meant selling your truck and buying a v6 equipped truck. Yes an engine swap is possible but you'll need an engine, a wiring harness, a v6 ecu and probably a different clutch. The trans will probably bolt up but the flywheel on a v6 will be bigger requiring a different clutch kit.

Your dealer didn't have plates for you?!?!? That's a load of crap, all car dealers in MA should have new plates right there and register it from the dealership. They all have access to the RMV. What dealership was it?

Oh ok being a VA resident makes a difference. I thought you were from MA. Either way enjoy the truck when you get it. I love mine so far.

That's ok because I will just run the gas to E on the car that I traded in until try drop the truck off and pick the car up.

    That's what I did! :)

That black truck just might be the one that got away (meaning one of the rare manual 4cyl AC beasts) that came up in inventory when I bought mine 2 months ago. The distance is about right.

    Love mine!

I bet your dealer and my dealer probably tried to go after the same truck for each of us. I found mine on auto trader.com at a different dealership than the one I went to initially so when I called and gave him the stock number he didn't even get to the paperwork on his desk showing it arrived. Long story short nobody claimed it yet so I slapped some money down and said screw you to my original dealer.
