Just bought an 06 Reg Cab 4x4... what do I need to know?

I just picked up an 06 Reg Cab 4x4 5-sp manual with 65k miles for $10k. Everything looks great except it will need some new tires in the next few months and I'm going to toss on a new tensioner pulley to get rid of some belt squeak. Other than that I'll probably grab some synthetic oil, a new air filter, and new fluids in all drivetrain parts. Is there anything in specific I should be looking/aware of? I'm planning on spending a bit on the truck throughout the year and lifting the truck a few inches, getting some slightly larger tires, and a bumper/winch combo. Looking forward to posting up some pictures when I get into the truck and start with a few mods.

That sounds like a bargain ($10K!?).

If you want larger tires before adding a lift, 265/75/16R will fit with little to no problem whatsoever; I lifted my front with 5100s set at .85" just to give a little wiggle room and a bit less "stuffed" look, but not really necessary.

I'd also suggest the easy and relatively inexpensive addition of OEM cruise control.

There is really nothing you need to know. There are no problems with these trucks. Especially the 4cy manuals. You just bought the best truck on the planet.

good cheap lift is the 5100 set at 1.75 in the front and the TSB in the rear (4th leaf if you dont have it). Then the 265/75/16 and 265/70/17 are the two biggest tires on stock suspension. Then good AFE prodry is a great cheap mod heres how my truck sits with the 265/70/17, 5100's at 1.75 in the front, and the 4th leaf in the rear
