Just wondering where other people are mounting their air compressors with the 2.7L?? Where I have seen them mounted on other Tacomas, I have the 4WD controller and the cruise control in the way. Honestly, I have no options under the hood that I can see.... so, what are my other options??

    Thanx

I fingered it out.... Remove the air intake silencer box that sits above the fender. Plug the hole with something of substance, and hose clamp it so it stays put. Once this step is complete, proceed to drill holes in your trucks metal parts, and mount said pump!

It's still a tight fit, but it's the only place that is available under the hood

I hope to install one soon. I have a Leer DCC aluminum cap. I plan to mount the compressor to the left bedside in front of the wheel well.

I bolted my Airlift compressor on the fender behind the battery for airbags, and ran the wiring back to the cubby box on the drivers side. Which fuse would be good to use for a +12v keyed?

I'll take a look for it and research installing a relay. I'm decent with wrenches, but not so much electrical. Was hoping to tap into a fuse. Thanks.

I have seen them and others mounted under the hood more often than not.
I have had no issues with mine,
