Power programmer for the 2.7

I've done a little research on these and according to most companies that make them they will give you up to 25 more hp and 2-4 mpg better. I am not looking to make my truck into a hot rod, I just want some more get up and go power for passing. Where I live it is all 2 lane highways, so this is pretty essential! I would like to know if anyone has done this to their 2.7 and if it is worth buying, also did you install it yourself or have it dealer installed? The way I understood it was that they just plug right in.

There are no plug in programmers like your are thinking for Toyotas. The URD MAF CAL is your only option on the cheap side.

You've searched the manufactures about them, now search the forum for "chips".

You'll find that you will get more gains from eating a bag of these and lighting your farts on fire...

I am also curious on this as well? I would also like to find some sort of options that would give my truck some more get up, and go, and maybe produce a little bit more HP too, but with out using to much gas. I would think you would be able to get some kind of happy medium between the two.. Sub for this one, keep us posted on what you find on the power progammer.

Thanks.

Depends if you think it is. It only works at full throttle and high load situations.
