Bad smells from coming vents

I have a 1999 tacoma. Really bad smells (moldy mildewy) coming from vents. Dealer says this model does NOT have a cabin filter to change. Have sprayed disinfectant through system numerous times. Only smells when fan is on. Checked floors and carpets, not wet. I'm out of answers. HELP! This smells is unbearabable.

Thanks

Gary

I'd suggest disassembling the dash, removing the duct, and bleaching the hell out of it.

Fabreeze in air vents. Works every time.

I just purchased a 2012 and owners manual suggest to turn of AC recycling switch few minutes before turning the ignition off to avoid foul smell from vents.

That does help.
We also have a product in a can that is like expando foam.
You shove the product tube into the drain hole and blow the stuff into the box. We keep the tube plugged for like 10 min. Then let it drain. Kind like scrubbing bubbles.

My poodle peed on truck seat. ( old truck ) Used Fabreeze mister real heavy and set fan to recirculate for about 5 min to circulate it in the vents. Did the trick.
