    Subject is Shell Formula 5W-30.

Been sitting in storage shed for five years or so, seeing temperatures from below freezing to 95 or so. Western WA climate...

    Use it or not?

It will be OK, just take it for a long drive right after putting it in, to burn off any moisture. Also shake well upside down because the additives have probably settled in the bottom of the bottle.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
The oil is fine. Beware when shaking any liquid as it puts air bubbles into it; this is especially NOT recomended for engine coolant as the bubbles collect inside the engine and create hot spots of NO liquid. Rather, roll the container to mix and do not shake. The additives in oil will burn off eventally.

No it does not go bad. As long as it is spec'd for your vehicle, it is good. They just had a guy on Bob is the oil guy who did oil analysis on really old oil he bought at a rummage sale that was from the 80's. It was still fine. So use it up and feel safe.
