Mpg in 4x4?

Im wondering what 2 gen 4cyl's get in 4 wheel drive? I have never owned a 4x4 so I dont know how much it drops mpg.

 

About the same as in 2wd & it depends on driving conditions.
I've never filled up just before I hit a trail & topped it off right after leaving the trail, but it still gets close to the same MPGs on the tanks that I go off road.

 

i'm getting 22 mpg on my 2012 r/c 4x4. not babying it either. if i'm in a hurry, i press the pedal.hth

 

You won't be in 4wd very often, and when you are it will be the terrain that determines you mpg drop, not so much that you are in 4wd.

You'll never be driving in 4wd on dry pavement.

 

fuelly.com tells all. Most of my driving is winter time (thats why I bought 4x4 truck). Fall, spring and summer driving is mainly to haul items or home improvement project use. Great truck!
