2003 2.7L: Best performing spark plugs?

I've done some reading, and have yet to check what's actually in the truck at this point, but what do these little 2.7 motor like for plugs? Platinum? Copper? Iridium?

oem plugs work just fine.

 

What flavor are the stock plugs?

 

It should say in the owners manual. The v6 takes denzos, not sure about the 4. Go to the dealer and get 4 plugs, You will spend less than $20.

 

The dealer is practically on the other side of the world from me. Turns out stock were NGK V-powers? I found that to be weird. Anyway, I picked up a pack of NGK platinum plugs. Nothing fancy. The originals had worn the center electrode down to over .080" gap!

 

Mine had NGKs so I grabbed the oem version of those when I swapped mine recently. When I changed mine I almost crapped my pants. All four were pushing .090" gap they were that worn. I didnt know they were that bad, just figured it was time. My truck didn't skip a beat and I barely notice a difference with the new ones. Just shows how awesome these trucks are.
