I have been looking all over the place online and asking mechanics to help me find used engine. I have a 1996 Tacoma 4x4 2.7L. I feel like it is running on its last leg and I want to be prepared to swap engines. Does anybody know of a good website or something that has plenty of engines in stock? I would think that this motor would be common and easy to find, but it hasn't been so far. Thanks guys.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The reason it isn't is because of the frame buyback. It took a lot of motors out of circulation.

There are number of online sites that are full of used and rebuilt engine for sell out there, like the most popular one is eBay.

You can easily buy your engine with online sources without hesitating about quality assurance on your purchase; there are many sources available on internet, which offer quality assurance with guarantee service on their auto parts like hiperformer.com online page and other most known online pages.

Just you need to check engine model number and make year for your vehicle engine replacement.
