Nitrous oxide kit is a possible way to do it, BUT, remember your drivetrain is only designed for the stock hp.

    A link http://www.andysautosport.com/nitrous_kits/toyota_tacoma.html

Might not be legal in some states.

I personally have no experience with this stuff, not even with my dentist, but this is an option.

Good luck and post your results if you install the kit.

Theres not much you can do, especially if you need to pass smog. These motors are near their max from the factory.

First the TRD supercharger only works on V6 engine. Everyone seems to like headers to add HP. Modds can we make one of these threads a sticky? Every new member seems to ask this question.

Your pretty much out of luck with out swapping the motor, or going forced induction.

And after all that the price may still end up to the cost of the Urd kit

The 2.7L is different between the 1st gens (3RZ) and 2nd gens (2TR-FE), so my guess is the TRD supercharger for your 98 won't work on the OP's 07. There are two supercharger kits made for the 2TR-FE, one made by Alpine and the other by URD.

I just removed cat added header, Gibson ss muffler, installed two new o2 sensors, o2 simulator and k&n intake. Noticed an incredible difference in power after that. Intact runs better then before and gained 3mpg as long as I drive with some sence. It sounds good though
