Afe cai or volant cai

I have a 08 4 cyl. access cab 4x4, I was wondering which CAI was the better one to go with on the 2.7 engines. The AFE or the VOLANT. Any thoughts.

 

performance, best horsepower. Just want to add some pickup and speed, nothing insane, not racing or anything. Thanks

 

What kind of increases would they give? I was wondering becuase everyone seems to have the afe or the volant. This would be my first upgrade and wondering if it is really worth it or not.

 

Thanks. I was looking at a few auto sites and they advertise the afe as adding 50 hp. I find that hard to believe, the most I have heard cai giving was 10 to 20.

 

Is there something else I might want to do than before putting on a cai?

 

unfortunately not a lot of options out there for us 4 cyl guys. Headers, exhaust and intake all we pretty much got till you start lookin into something real expensive.

 

save your $$$, just do the $10 CAI mod. nothing more than bringing some metal flex pipe from the front grill into the oem air box. you can find info on this mod here http://www.empirepao.com/cai.htm
