well youve enjoyed your speed cars for what they are used for, now you can enjoy your truck for the other things like off-roading or riding on trails or something.

Ok. So you used to drive 14 sec. cars, and you bought a truck thinking it would be as fast?

You just need to take time to break in the engine then run the rpm's up. This engine doesn't develop power till it starts hitting 3K rpms. And it won't ever be a race car but I have no trouble passing people. 4th gear is good all the way to 80 or more.

you should do an engine swap with the v8 from the 4runner and then supercharge it.

    If it's a 4wd.

Don't think they make one for the 2TR. Could be wrong though.

You're not going to make the truck into the ricers you had before (unless you want to spend a stack of money). Either you change the way you use your truck, or you change the truck.

Nothing out right now that will get you close. An STS turbo system, and re gear, MAY give you the performance you want, but it will just turn a 18 sec. truck into a 17 sec. truck.

And the cost of doing the things I mentioned would probably be more than the loss you would take just tradeing up to the V6.
