    2011 toyota tacoma 4door 4 cyl.
    working on it..need some advice
    i heard with my 2.7l 4cyl. taco dbl cab...if i lift it i will need to re gear my truck. my truck is an automatic, so if i re gear it would the engine be changed to standard?.

    No, you do not need to re-gear if you lift. Only if you go to a bigger tire size, which typically people do when you lift, but just clarifying that just a lift doesn't necessitate re-gearing.

    Re-gearing also has nothing to do with what kind of transmission you run. You're working with the gears in the diff's, not transmission.
