Exercising 4WD

Good Day,
I've had my new 2013 basic 4wd automatic off-road in tight places of the Apalachicola National Forest a few times now camping with my granddaughter. Sure do love this little truck. At first, was a little disconcerting getting some scratches on a new truck due to the tree branches scraping her but, this is what I bought a 4WD for.
My question is, does the "10 mile" a month "exercising" of the 4WD system count if you're just using 4HI or do you need to also use it in 4LO. I've only had to use 4LO during times of getting the truck through water/mud filled low spots on the forest back roads. Never had a 4WD before is why I'm asking. thankyou for any advice.

 

Running 10 miles a month in 4H is fine, it's just to get the T-case actuator to keep in working condition and to keep the gears lubed. If it goes in 4H it will most likely go to 4L.
