Well i have a 2011 tacoma. i really like the 4 banger, even though its not the most powerful or smooth engine. but i recently noticed it has a noisy tick. Mainly noticable at idle or really slow coasting. It pulled it in the driveway and opened the hood and its an obvious tick. Not sure if this is normal operation of this motor or not? I just recently noticed it because i had the radio off so it could have been doing this as long as i have had the truck. Not sure, any help is appreciated thanks

Mine has been ticking since it was new. It now has 200k on it. It is a '95. I believe it is normal.
