I just swapped to Redline in everything at my 30,000 on my 2010. Front diff oil was dark grey, everything else was pretty clear. I don't tow so I will inspect the oil at 60,000. Most likely that I won't swap it anymore. The transmission shifts a little smoother with the MT-90 now.

I use synthetic 75w-90 because it gets cold up here in Alaska during the winter. I've been running amsoil but wouldn't hesitate to run redline if I could find it up here.

Thats very informative and effective, although it seemed like in the end of that article it was a boost for Amsoil and kinda looked like it was advertising for them like they were paid to say all of that

Granted Amsoil is a damn good oil, just seemed fishy

I put in some Valvoline synthetic after I got my 4.56 in. No preferences overall though.

Theres something about Amsoil that just turns me off.

I also don't buy into their white papers. Gotta figure they're going to twist the numbers (not the tests) however they can to make them appear better.

I'll continue to use Sta-lube and Ashland products for my truck.

For the last 30 years, I have been buying my gear lube in the five gallon buckets from the local autoparts store...While I like the Citco Mystic JP-6 series gear oil, Valvoline is what I usually get, $75 for a five gallon bucket.
