    Any tips/advice?
I just bought it with 145000 miles for $6600.
Any inexpensive mods to make it beefier?
I am very mechanically uneducated but eager to learn.

Welcome to the mix Tanner! These trucks are pretty solid, so it depends on what you're looking to beef up. The key to navigating this site is learning to use the Advanced Search tool under the Search menu. Play around with words and phrases to find threads of interest. Also, there are specific forums for beefing up suspension, engines, and the like. And if you can't find what you are looking for, there are loads of folks here that can usually set you off in the right direction.

Start small and work your confidence and skill sets up the ladder. You might be surprised what you can accomplish. Good luck!!

    Hi Tanner, :)

This place is a deep well of information so feel free to throw in your bucket. I had a Taco similar to yours, a 1996 2.4 2wd manual for 17 years and loved it. You'll have lots of fun with yours, and there are lots of good folk here who will help you spend your money on it. ;)

    Regards,

    Greg
