I have a 2007 4 cylinder toyota tacoma that I love but would like to add a leveling kit and 32" tires. I feel like in doing so I would need a bit more power, was wondering if toyota or anyone else makes a blower or supercharger that would be compatible with my 4 cylinder. Also how hard is it on the stock parts on the truck doing something like that? Would appreciate any insite you guys might have thanks

    Well put.

Luckily Japanese engineering is very "in tune" with such devices.. but there is an extremely large amount of re-engineering and tuning that comes with this type of add-on. As seen above, this is a superb example of the hundreds of parts and man hours it takes to properly setup and tune your Yota 4-banger with a compressor. It is definitely not a bolt-on weekend deal...but if you have the cash it can be the -torqueiest (a word I invented) mid-size pickup on the planet.

If you want a nominal increase in power you can get the LCE header.

Thanks guys I think I'll get one of the underdog superchargers, any idea how much it will affect my fuel consumption?

Depends on how you drive. If you are always utilizing a lot of boost and into the throttle, it's going to stink. Otherwise I've read you might actually see a 1 - 2 mpg increase when driven carefully.

While my Taco will always be just a normally aspirated daily driver work truck...

...URD came up with a super clean very well thought out design.

If you REAAALLLY have the money...I say fusk gasoline. Go get that JDM transplant. There is a company in Texas that does it, but its like 20,000 $ for the transplant.

    $30k for a Taco, $20k for the D4D....

$50k will get you a NICE Duramax that'll tow 14k and get 18mpg.
