OME 883 Coils / OME Shocks

I've searched forever and can not find anyone that has put the OME 883 coils and 9000 shocks on their standard cab.

I'm not using my truck for anything offroad except dirt roads. I have a dirt bike and MTB for off-road use.

My truck has 120K on it and I feel the stock Toyota suspension has begun to droop in the front.

I'm contemplating the OME 883 coils and OME shocks to level the truck and improve pavement ride.

Anyone at all have the OME 883 coil suspension on their standard cab? results?

Conversely, has anyone installed the Bilstein front shocks with stock standard cab coils?? results?

ON the other hand if anyone has removed their almost new standard cab suspension for aftermarket product and wants to dump it.. let me know.

if your suspension is sagging now you don't want to do billies with your stock coils, they will just get worse, i found my stock front got soft quick with spacers installed which is essentially the same as lifting with the billies the way the coil is affected. the ome combo you are looking at will give you 1.5 inches of lift and settle a bit, it will ride nice, you will have little more down travel due to shorter lift coil. i run 884 on mine with a steel bumper and like them, wish i had more down travel but it is they way it is. once you do this you will find that you almost immediately will want to upgrade the rear also because it just wont match up well to the sweet new front setup.

Just an update on what I eventually did. Found a member here that was selling new OME sport nitrocharger shocks and I purchased both the front and rear from him. (90000 / 60091)

My factory suspension fasteners were fairly rusted up from the upper midwest winter salt so I was faced with some dismantling difficulties during removal. I sprayed all the threads with liquid wrench in advance but that didn't provide much help. I ended up taking a hack saw to cut the top mounts off the rear shocks to remove them. Installed the new OME rear shocks with the factory leaf springs since I was just looking to level the truck.

The front shocks were also a challenge but I did get them off and took them in to have the top plates removed. I knew this was going to be a challenge due to the salt induced rust. The shop called me a 1/2 hour after I left asking if they could cut the stock spring off since they could not get the top nut off to remove the shock from the top plate. Just as I suspected. I had them install one OME trim packer on the driver side to neutralizer the drivers side lean.

Was able to get the front installed fairly easily after removing the sway bar and lower control arm ball joint. Upon lower the truck off the jack stands my front ride height had changed by 3".. WHAT?? a standard cab with only 883s.. I had remembered reading that others had experienced more ride height change just after install before driving so I tried to remain calm.

After a day of use I remeasured and the front was still 2 1/4" from stock height. Just measured again last night after a good week and tank of gas and it seems that my truck gained approximately 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" front ride height depending on the side. Both front measurements are now equal in comparison to a 1/4" difference that existed with the stock coil overs.

Ride is firmer over the well used stock coil overs. In fact the stock front shocks were getting loose over pot holes with the inability to control the wheel assembly. Definitely prefer the new OME suspension over the stock factory package. My truck sits slightly (about 1/8" higher) in the rear now and the level appearance is what I was after along with improved road manners. Have yet to try a fast run down a washboard dirt road but my assumption is that there will be a noticable improvement there also.
