Towing /Air bags/ TSBs Stock 09 2wd Acess

Hi I am towing a Scamp 5th wheel/ gooseneck Fiberglass trailer 2800lbs tongue weight 400 centered on the centerline of the bed. I wonder if I need AirBags. Ride Right or Air lift. The truck is rated at 3500 lbs. Is there a new TSB on the leaf springs on this new a truck it has 900 miles. With the toungue weight on the center of the bed and not the Bumper I should be in better shape.
I customized a Reese 5th wheel hitch to use the 2" ball the scamp uses for there 5th wheel.
Any Ideas, I may just take a short cruise and see hot it tows

technically, the TSB does not include the 2009. Are you a prerunner? The non 4x4/prerunners do not get the TSB.

I'd like to see some pics of your custom mount.

Check out Phantom's gallery. He has something to help with the load.

then you won't be able to get the TSB, but phantom is very happy with his timbrens. They maintain a smooth ride when the truck is empty and really help support a heavy load.

How do you have the hitch fastened to the bed?

I made aluminum shims to support the composite bed then used L brackets to the threat to attach the Reese rails

I love my Supersprings. If you plan on towing much I would reccomend adding a transmission cooler if you have an auto.

Cool, I've never seen a tacoma with a fifth wheel until now. I think you will be fine since fifth wheel hitches distribute the weight much more evenly over the entire truck. I know your not a candidate for the TSB, but I have heard others say they are not much stiffer that the original three leaf when it comes to towing.
