Ok guys, I've searched and searched and found a lot of good information calculators etc.. I have a 04 2.7 Reg Cab PreRunner Auto(A304E) factory 3.91 Gears (B06A) code. Factory 225/70/15 Truck! I'm stuck between 4.56 gears and 4.88's..I'm running Fierce attitudes (305/70/16). Truck is defiantly a dog once it gets into OD on the interstate..especially when I Hit a hill of any-sort. According to the calculator 4.88's will put me just shy of stock? Is there anyone else running this set up? I'm basically just tired of it down shifting for every little hill I come across big or small literally everyone unless i'm going 80 MPH when i hit it..As of now I run around 1900-2000 RPMs at 70 MPH corrected speed. Gear Calculator says 70 MPH at 2383 RPMS is stock is that correct? 70 with the 4.56's are 2321 and 4.88s are 2484..Whats everyone's opinion?? Are those RPM's to high for a daily commute of 60 miles to work and back combined? I don't wheel no much considering its just a pre-runner.

I have a 2002 double cab prerunner with 4.56 gears from the factory. I'm currently running 255/75/17 tires. For this setup it is not bad. In the past I have ran 33" tires and I thought that it suffered pretty bad from the 33" tires. I would think that 4.88 would be an awesome setup. FYI @70mph with my setup I'm at 2500 rpm. My mpg are usually between 17-19.

Awesome thanks, I'm sure 4.88s will work fine just wanted some secondary opinions.
