I'm going in tomorrow wanting to buy a new ac 4x4. I was wondering if the issues with the luk clutch are over? Any insight is appreciated.

Your post does not say 5 or 6 speed. I looked earlier at the 6 speed clutches and both the Type A (Luk) and Type B (Aisin) part numbers all default to the Aisin.... this is good. Looks like Toy may have dumped Luk altogether on the 6 speeds. Since the 5 speeds had such terrible clutches when they came with the Luk setup, hopefully they also dumped Luk as the supplier for the 5 speeds.

Since I posted this in the 4cyl section I figured it would go without saying that I meant 5 speeds. But thanks for the reply.

Op, did you get the Tacoma and how's your clutch if so. I just got a new 2014 reg cab 4x4 a couple weeks back and just read about all these clutch problems…I hope Toyota is only using Aisins now. Mine works fine, but I only have a few hundred miles on it so far.
