2012 engine crank/turnover problem...help

I have a 2012 2.7 4x4 tacoma and am having problems with the engine now that it's getting hot(doesn't happen when cold). It cranks weird when it's hot outside and of course won't do this when I get to the dealer to complain about the issue. I have a video linked to the crank problem. If anyone knows what the problem is please let me know. This seams unacceptable for a 2 year old truck. I'm guessing that it might be the starter or fuel pump? But the odd thing is that it only happens when its hot outside (93 when the video was taken), and if I shut her off and fire her back up she'll crank and turn over normally.

I have an appointment with my dealer tomorrow(its still under warranty). He didn't seem too concerned. Is this maybe just a normal characteristic of the 2.7?

So when it does this, did you start it once before (when the truck is cold), shut it off after it ran for a minute, then start it back up some time (maybe a half hour)? If I do this, my truck will start like this.

Not exactly. Left the house around 7 it was cool (75 degrees) and it cranked normally. I left to come home in the afternoon (93 degrees) outside and it cranked weird like this. I then shut the truck off waited a couple seconds fired her up again and she cranked up normally. From what I've noticed, it only cranks weird if it been sitting in the heat and humidity for a few hours (it's done this the past few weeks now that it's getting hot). Dealer ran diagnostics but it didn't throw any codes.

My advice is simply to get a OBDII code reader. It's the best $50 you ever spend. Got this one off of ebay. It will tell you exactly what's going on with every component even when there are no codes showing.

You will never be left guessing...

Thanks. I'll probably invest in one. I'm just mad that the dealer blew off my concern and said nothing was wrong when clearly the crank doesn't sound normal in the video.

You will not believe how much information that scanner can tell you, even pending codes that haven't yet triggered a CEL light. It also shows real time fuel trim input so you can see if you're running rich or lean. It even logs any cylinder misfires as well as which cylinder is misfiring.

I was totally blown away, as my last code reader was purchased many years ago for my gen1 taco and showed way less information.
