Just like the tittle to this thread, the dealer called with bad news and I am upset.
I sold a low milage 2009 Tundra Limited "Luccesse" 4x4 to in order to purchase a white reg cab manual 4x4. Gave 'em my deposit and got a cashiers check for the balance.

I get the call yesterday after about 4-5 weeks of waiting telling me this sheit.

Toyota is not taking anymore orders on the 14 Reg Cab and they would not let him place one for a 2015.

He said it would be several months before he can place any orders on any 15 which makes me wonder, why.

Why can you order anything for a Toyota but a Reg Cab...I got a feeling why.

Anyone got a newer reg cab 4x4 manual in super white for sale please let me know.

The bummer about this is that also I ordered a A.R.E. camper shell, tube steps and a few other things the day before the bad news and they are on the truck and inbound!

Dealer called again and said that it is the end of the line for the reg cab.
    I'm beyond disappointment.

I found a 2009 with 49k on the clock in Georgia and should be making the deal to have it shipped to my residence in Texas in the morning.
I'll be saving some money on a pampered reg cab man 4x4.

I'm excited again but nothing like the high hopes I had for a new one.

Thank you Gelo for the links.

If this is true I would prob go for a v6 access 4x4 maybe manual/mostly automatic.
I drove 4cyl access cab and they really sucked...
I could probably stand a regcab 4x4 2.7 but anything bigger is gonna have to have a bigger motor...
Sh!T!!!I'm not ready to get one right now...maybe by the end of summer at the earliest.
Story of my life...lol...day late and a dollar short!

My manual transmission reg cabs will chirp the back tires if you shift too hard when you're in a hurry. Both my old '06 and my current '08 are this way.

The 2.7 stick is a beast, relatively speaking.

Test drove a reg cab 4x4 manual and loved it!
I think the smaller the motor the more you need a manual trans,it may just be me.
Seemed like it shifted fine and rode better and quieter than my Camry SE.

the reg cabs are pretty peppy for a 2.7 when u have a manuel trans. but they need lower gears in the diffs. the tranny is geared to high and i find pulling trailers is tuff on it. and 4x4 high off road doesn't work well at all just wants to stall unless I'm moving or in snow. but low range kicks ass..

Are they still making the reg cab 2WD? Seems like they would be missing out on alot of fleet vehicles if they discontinue those

My whole reason for buying a Tacoma was because it was the only truck made in the configuration I wanted ( reg cab, 4x4 manual ) I've always owned Fords. I'm sorta glad I totaled my 2011 Ranger last year instead of next year.
