What's a good tire?

I just got my new tacoma and it has standard tires. I am looking for a good tire that will work not only for summer and winter but also for light off road use. I am looking at 275/75 or 275/65.

Go with BFG all terrain or General tire's equivalent which some say is just as good and its cheaper. I have also ran yokohama geolanders and have been pleased with them.

 

An AT (All terrain) tire is what your looking for. Check Bfg, general, nittos, Wrangler, Hankook, Yokohama. FYI discount tire direct or discount tire seems to typically have to best prices.

 

Michelin LTX MS2 is a great tire, but at a price premium.
Not aggressive, but just a great all-around tire.

 

Best bang for the buck: Hankook Dynapro ATM
Best bang for the big bucks: Michelin LTX MS2

 

X2. I only use MS2's for my cars it's a great all season tire and can handle any dirt/mud road.

 

Thanks for the leads. I should mention that this area gets some pretty wicked snowfall and I am isually on the road to work well before the snow plow is out and about. Hopefully that doesnt change much for tire selection.
