Just looking to see if one could be put together by someone with the knowledge already or maybe there is one that already exists I haven't found yet.

Basically as a new owner of a 2.7l 4 cylinder I haven't seen too much at all in the means of intakes, exhaust, performance filters, etc... that are for the 4 cylinders.

I know URD has a supercharger kit, was there ever a TRD kit at one point?

Just might be a good sticky to have as a reference in the 4 cylinder section as to who makes what being the various sites are flooded with V6 items.

Plenty of Exhaust, LCE and Doug Thorley make performance headers. There was never a TRD S/C only the URD. With exhaust and headers a new MAF calibrator would help too.

outside of forced induction the best gain is probably a good header and exhaust. The rest are pretty much gimmicks.

I agree on the header, especially if it's a long tube, but you could even skip the exhaust. I dyno tested the stock muffler (RED) a Magnaflow (BLUE) and a Flowmaster (GREEN) and as you can see, the results were pretty close. The stock muffler is actually very well matched to the operating characteristics of the 2.7.

true that, on vehicles nowadays most of this stuff is all tuned to work together. Not like back in the day where they just slapped stuff like cat. converters on for legal reasons and you actually got gains from modifying them.

I don't know, as I ran that same intake on all of the dyno runs. There's a sign up list for the spacer in the 2nd Generation Marketplace where you can add your name if you're interested. It's not a commitment to buy. I'll bump it up to the top so it'll be easy to find.

Has no one tried to turbo this motor yet or is the ecu pretty temperamental compared to the 1st gens?

That is impressive. I thought 4.7k was a lot, but you get all the stuff and its tuned. Literally bolt on.

It's a very complete well thought out kit. URD produces high quality products. :)

So am I correct in saying that there isn't a bolt-on exhaust for the 2.7? Seems everyone is having one made from whatever is their muffler of choice.

LCE makes a bolt on 2.7 cat back exhaust.
Gibson makes a bolt on 2.7 cat back exhaust.
Magnaflow makes a bolt on 2.7 cat back exhaust.
MBRP makes a bolt on 2.7 cat back exhaust.
Borla makes a bolt on 2.7 cat back exhaust.

    Shall I go on?... ;)

Just search for "(your year) Toyota Tacoma cat back exhaust"...

...and they'll all come popping up at you.
