Exclamation sticky throttle

gas pedal is sticky pushing in when engine is on. But it is smooth as butter when engines off? any suggestions

maybe clean throttle body. it's drive by wire so throttle body butterfly doesn't move if truck is turned off.

Weezer, this older truck is NOT 'drive by wire'. Don't assume that all Tacomas are exactly like yours.

Does yours have cruise control? Maybe that cable is messing with it when it's running?

my bad. i thought my old 1988 was drive by wire. sorry i got it mixed up.

anyways sounds like the same solution either way. clean the throttle body.

It shouldnt need a sensor for throttle position, its drive by wire.
