So I recently rebuilt the engine on my 97 taco, replaced just about everything except the short block. About after a week of driving it it died out on me one day and wouldn't start. No fuel or spark so I replaced am1, am2, and 80a fuses. Started right up and worked fine for about a month.

Recently while driving the engine died while driving, I didn't even notice until I took a turn and noticed the power steering wasn't working. Wouldn't start for about 10 minutes then I was able to drive it home. Started it up later that night and drove it around fine.

A few days later I went to start it up and nothing. It's not getting spark. It is getting fuel. Went ahead and replaced those 3 fuses again and it didn't help. Checked my grounds and everything seems fine. Stumped :confused::confused:

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Just guesses (and I'm probably WAAY wrong) maybe fuel pump relay, ignition switch or relay, coolant temp sensor or worse try another known good ECM. I don't know. Good luck.

Went ahead and tried the engine block ground since I didn't give that one as much attention as the others. The bolt wasn't loose but I went ahead and loosened it and rotated the ground some and made sure to tighten it well. She fired right up :) glad it wasn't anything big. I was thinking I was going to have to trace a short or replace the igniter or something

Great info but it would help knowing the engine and where the ground was located. Maybe a picture. Just a thought.

Alright, here's the location of the ground. The engine is the 2.4l 2rz. It's underneath the intake kind of near the starter / slave cylinder
