I had seen some posts about this on here and immeadiately knew it was something I needed to do. I hate having everything rolling around back there and its crazy to me that Toyota just leaves bare metal back there. Just thought I would share my version of this mod because of how useful the other posts were for me.

I made up a box that bolts onto the existing threaded holes using 18 gauge sheet metal, then covered it in cheap carpet I got from the auto parts store. I also lined the back of the cab in rigid insulation and covered that in carpet too. It didn't affect the seat at all, it still goes back all the way, but what a huge difference in the amount of usable storage inside the cab. Here's a couple pics.

nice idea and great implementation, did you remove the middle seat belt and the bracket for the jack?
I am building (designing currently) a MOLLE type panel to hold military type gear for camping/survival/whatever and the seatbelt and bracket take up a lot of space

edit: I see that you cut out a space for the jack

That's very creative and useful. Looks like it was born that way. Functional mods rule!

I cut a hole for the jack and the middle seat belt, but took the middle seat belt out anyway. Its easy to put back in if I want or when I sell it, but I don't really see myself having three people.

I was worried about that too, but it doesnt affect the seat at all. The box is 5.5" and mounted as low as possible so with the seat angle there is enough room.
