I have a 2.4L with 230K miles, is there an oil/filter better suited to this higher mileage?

Depends on whether you are leaking or burning oil.
If you are using a little oil a High Mileage oil can help. Otherwise just pick one and go.
Generally speaking, conventional oils are good for 3-5k miles and synthetic 7-10k miles. I am a fan of the new Fram Ultra filter, but if you are changing it every oil change pretty much any filter is fine. The Toyota filter is pretty good too.
