Hi guys, I have a 2012 reg cab w/bench ... want to source oem buckets, console and belt latches.

What years work or do not work? I've searched around and have seen most the seat threads I think, but nothing specific year/cab compatibility wise unless I've missed it (please enlighten if so).

Will a 2005 thru 2015 AC or DC bucket bolt to the Reg cab? And I know about the air bag stuff.. that's not the question here.

    Thanks in advance!

I believe the bucket seats will bolt in. Airbags and the center console is a different story though

Okay, so if I source bucket seats from a '10 double cab will the footprint fit my '12 reg cab?

    So to clarify what I'm asking (if anyone knows or cares);

Is the footprint the same on all bucket seats from '05 to current, double cab, access cab, reg cab?

...or are there variations in years? Are the footprints different between cab configurations? If so what are they? .. how do I find out?

I'd just hate to locate and purchase the stuff only to find out it won't fit..

There are many threads talking about the swap, but none of them address the access cab, vs double cab seats.

I am going to be starting my swap tonight on my '07. I have TRD seats from an '06 Access Cab I am going to be swapping in. I just assumed that all the seat bases were the same....

Since I have an '07 I don't have to deal with seat airbags. Your's having the seat airbags seems to open up a pretty big can of worms. Not saying it can't be done, but do some research.

The only threads I've seen are from someone swapping in FJ seats, Celica seats and race seats. The FJ seat has the arm rest built into the seat so that guy was able to get around the center console issue. If I were you, I'd try to find a local member who would be willing to let you measure the mounts on his access or double cab so you can be sure before buying anything.

Yeah I've been searching this subject for a while now and never got a clean answer on year/cab compatibility to our single cabs... Good suggestion on the measuring a buddy's truck... hummm now to make a new friend with a 2nd gen dc and ac owner :p

Of course the holy grail would be to find an SR5 reg cab with the buckets and 5spd console ... in grey :D

Keep us posted OldSchool on the fit of those ac seats in yur truk. I bet they fit fine. I'd also bet (maybe a dollar) that all the bucket seats are the same.. could be wrong tho.

Installed the AC seats in my truck last night. Install was a breeze and they fit perfectly. The write-ups are pretty much right on the money. My swap took about 2.5 hours including a quick trip to the local hardware store to get 4 bolts. The bolts are 10mm x 1.25 thread. I can't remember the length off the top of my head though.

I used the female seat-belt receptacles from the bucket seats so the male ends of the seat-belts needed ground down to snap into the bucket seat receptacles.

Hi - I'm about to install buckets in my 05 reg cab. Can you describe how you ground down the male ends of the stock seat belts
    thanx Bogey1
