max tire size for 2.7

im thinking about doing a small lift for bigger tires, anyone know what the max size is for tires without doing a lift for the 2.7. without changing the gearing?

Same here: 265/75/16 BFG All Terrains.

Slight loss of power. Nothing major. Also consider clearance. I had to remove the front mud flaps because the tires rubbed them ever so slightly. Clearance will vary per brand and style though.

I have been told by a local tire shop that 235/75 15's will be the max for the 15x6 wheels.

285/60/18 NTGs lifted 2.5 fr/1.5 rr with 5100s/AAL....no more rubbin & no gear change. Heavy ass tire/rim combo. I'm sure there is some pwr loss but they came on the truck when I got it so unable to speak to how much pwr loss. Goes just fine tho, still gettin 20 mpg.

I'm running 30x9.5, but I think you might be able to get 31x10.5 to fit with a lift.

NTGs are VERY light weight compared to other ATs. Exactly why I am getting them next

No lift and no rubbing with the 30 x 9.5's. To keep the tires from rubbing, you have to remove the small black box from the front wheel wells.

Guys that have the Readylift kit for the 5 lug can run 31 x 10.5.

Check out this link for some posts about it over on Toyota Nation. Check out pages 2 and 3.

Fuckin love it! Rides nice as hell. No harsh nothin! Firm & controlled but not bouncy or jarring at all. I have the non TSB 3 leaf pack with the Toytec TSB 1.5 AAL, it's great, far far better than the base model tokico nonsense that it had.
