I had the SC on my 2.7, along with some NWOR headers, and it was a quick little truck! I could get rubber with my 32's in 3rd gear!

Hey bro if you are looking for a supercharger for you 2.7L or turbo, I would highly invest in checking out www.lcengineering.com
They are TOYOTA High Performance Engine Specialists, specializing in race and pro performance engines and mods... They have been around for years and are among the best of the best and top of the line for 2.7L and 22re engine mods etc... They can tell you everything that you would need to know refering to turbo and supercharger mods... With that spoken, they can tell you what kinds of other mods you would need to make the superchagers work better, like fuel system management etc... Also I would highly recomend checking out www.ststurbo.com, or they would be also known as squires turbo systems... With this system you would not have the need for a separate turbo timer.... Any who, check them both out... LcEngineering is one of my top choices... I am planning to send my 2.7L engine in to them for a total rebuild with forged pistons, ported and polished, etc. It will be a street engine although race ready... Just my style for performance.... They also sell the TRD Superchargers... Once again, check them out... You wont be dissapointed in either site....
Here are some pics from www.lcengineering.com

3RZ Pro Turbo Kit - High Boost Price: $2,995.00 EA
I would highly recomend a header as well like a LC Engineering Pro Performance Street Header.... They come direct with ceramic coatings for high heat resistence... I have one installed on my 2.7L and it has worked and performed nicely, perked my engine right up...Lol I have included a pic of it as well....

    Street Header Kit - 3RZ (95-04) (49 State Legal) Price: $368.95 EA

This is how my Engine is going to look after all is said and done... At least this is my goal I am working towards....

I hope all the information I have provided has been more than helpful....

Nice advertizement above hehe. Still doesnt give an answer for a 2008 2.7L. I'd like just a bit of kick at say 4 +/- psi 30-40 hp. Don't want to mess ith pistons and compression ratios here.

what kind of gas milage drop did you experience with the s/c on your truck. also did it seem to compromise the reliability of the truck at all?

If you have the money and are serious about getting a Supercharger, check out the new supercharger kit from Underdog Racing Development.

    http://www.urdusa.com/Forced-Induct...coma-2.7L-2TR-FE-4-Cylinder/product_info.html

Its going to give you a lot more than just 30-40 hp extra. And you won't have to change pistons and such

Here's a link to a thread (Long Read) from beginning to end about it:

so when adding a turbo or super charger do you have to re-map the ecm and fuel system?
