will mufflers get better with age?

i thought about magna flows but they sound to ricey on 2.7 for me

 

i have a flowmaster 40 on my 4 banger. It's the non delta flow one but idt it would really make that much of a difference if it was. I have only put about 600-700 miles on it and it has def gotten louder. Not an extreme difference but noticeable compared to what it did sound like. I still have all my same stock piping and everything. It is pretty loud after 2200 rpms but i like it and is surprisingly deep, can't tell it's a 4 banger at all

 

yea i find that mine has a sweet spot in each gear, and at that sweet spot it is the loudest, most of the time it is around 2200RMP
