main't reqd

Hey when you guys start up your truck do you have a main't req'd light that flashes six times, then shuts off. I'm sure this is normal but I just never noticed it before. Thanks for any help.

 

For next time..... try using the *SEARCH* button (in blue bar up towards the right side. Your questions have already been answered many many many times already).

Yes..the Maint Req light will flash 6 times when you reach 4500 miles from the last time it reset. It's the OIL/FILTER CHANGE reminder. At 5,000 miles, the light will stay on constant.

Change your oil & filter
Reset the light.

Your owners manual will tell you exactly how to reset the light - OR - use the search button, you'll find the answers there also.
