alright guys so i get the headers in today they are awesome!! so i will try and get them in on sunday and do the write up, but i might have a little delay haha. so i was driving and outta no where the airbag light on the dash went on so i took out the owners book and well it said take it to toyota. so i did thinking i was still under warranty by a few K and well i was over by a few K haha. so anyway they ran a DIAG while i was at work. so they call back and tell me that its gonna cost $628. for the stupid spiral cable WTF?! so i told them no ill get it fixed later and argued with them about it being federal mandated safety regulation. and well i guess i was wrong its only the seat belts. so i told him (remember this it works every time ill explain at the end) "give me your district managers name and number" so he did. meanwhile the guy pulls my truck into the bay and parks right over some stuff leaking from some other truck. so right as i was leaving a little up set i hit the gas and lost a little traction on the wet spot and spun tires for a sec while my exhaust echoed throughout the bay every one looked, i didnt mean to do it but i guess it kinda made a point. I say this because on my way home the service guy that was helping me called and started pullin sorry's outta his ass and said he had spoke with his manager who would cover the costs to fix my airbag light because they dont want the district manager to find out!!! haha that right there made my day well the headers too, so this is why i might not get the headers in cuz the truck will be at toyota. oh and sorry this is kinda long i just had to vent for a sec.

haha hell ya they are beautiful! but i dont think thats a good idea beacuse that did remind me of soemthing i forgot haha. well when i was talking to him about why the light woulda clicked on he was like it was prob from the accident. so i looked at him like was going to kill him and was like you wrecked my truck?! haha and he was like no no its ok but the tec said it looks like the truck was in a wreck beacuse of the grill and i was like what the hell bro its a satoshi grill!!!

but i went to my local 4wheel parts and they beat www.urdusa.com and gave me them for $389.00 $15.00 shipping and NM state tax 6.75% so it came out to $431,27 not bad :)

Well that is pretty interesting because i looked on their site today and the price was $399.99+$59.99(for ceramic as an option) and to New Mexico the shiping woulda been another $30 bucks so thats what about $490. But thats an awesome deal you got i thought i got a steal but i guess i am wrong haha.

That is one nice looking header.. can't wait to see photos of it mounted in the engine bay and to hear the change in performance.

What are the benefits of the ceramic coating over just the chrome plate finish?

Ceramic coating helps keep heat inside the header and keep down engine bay temperatures, which in turn helps keep the intake pipe from heating up, thus keeping incoming air cooler. I've noticed, though, that the ceramic coating you can get on this header is merely the silver ceramic, which really doesn't do a great job (though it is better than nothing). If you want a really effective ceramic coat, I'd send it off to Swain Tech to get their coating.

Yeah but that's not as pretty. ;) Also, a coating will also cover the outside of the flange and get every nook and cranny, whereas wrap won't.
