I am just going to swap mufflers and keep the stock catback

No, the factory catback is already mandrel bent like the aftermarket ones. You won't find any more power out of it.

Yup I agree with his response. I am going to get a dynomax superturbo muffler because it is the only one I have seen that is dyno proven on our trucks.

Kinda off topic but has anyone dynoed the LCE header for a 2000 3rz?? I have recently installed the Lce header, K@N fipk, throttle body spacer, and only replaced the muffler with a flowmaster. I truthfully only noticed mid to top end increase only. I was hoping to get a nice low end kick with the header but that did not happen. My truck has what I think is factory optioned 265/75R15 and is an auto. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting more low end performance w/out supercharging or turbocharging??

What ratio? Would that effect gas mileage? Would it be a noticeable improvement? And about how much would the total cost if installed by a shop? Sorry so many questions, but I would really like it to "GO" when I stomp it and not just bog down.

well heres the deal. regearing as easily as i understand it, which is always not right lol, just brings all your rpm's faster therefor delivering your power quicker.

reagearing affects gas mileage if your doing long distances at highway speeds.

noticed just now you got a 2000, so idk what the gearing you have know is but most people do a 4.56 with 285's but im thinking about doing it with my 265's.

cost to do: very expensive so if you do decide to do it, might as well add a locker as well.

when you step on it with 265's and 4.56's i think that thing would HAUL! just remember highway speeds less gas mileage

if you really wanna romp and go and dont care about highway driving or anything....go with 4.88's hahahh

Well Im kinda stuck in the middle my daily commute is on average of about 30 to 60 miles a day. So I need to keep the mpg kinda good. But I really would like some bottom end so I dot know. Is there anything else besides gears that i could do? Thanks for the help!!!

with everything you have done so far and without going f/i i really dont know what to tell you...get smaller tires will work

i drive 100 miles a day so im not really excited about bumping up to 4.56's but oh well i do 65 on the freeway so my rpm's arent that bad so oh well its about 5 months from me regearing so havent decided yet.

I had thought about gonig with a smaller tire but i just cant make my self do that. But in the near future i probably will go with a 16in DC-1 pollished with black trim rim on maby 235/75's i looked at the tire cal on the main page and i think that size and rim it was only like 1in smaller than the 265/75 on 15's so it would not make a big apperance issue and would probably weigh a little less than factory set up idk. but at least the rims would probably look good.

Just an idea....I have an auto 4 cyl mazda & when I did the header I also did an underdrive crank pulley to retain the low end that would've been lost to get the mid & upper rpm gains from going with the header. Maybe this would help if someone makes one for the 3rz.

Thanks for the idea Lce makes one I cant remember how much it is but, it looks like it would be kinda hard to install idk. It is the crank pully so it looks prety hard to get to. how much did it help you on the bottom end??
