Honestly man, you are going to be very dissapointed unless you are going for sound. If you want performance, the only way you will be happy is if you get the placebo effect with "better throttle response".

I think I read that when I was doing research on it. I don't think I'll do it then.

He wants to do the motor swap because he does a lot of driving towing ATVs and motorcycles.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to do it because Power > Sound IMO.

Good man, I didnt want to be a party pooper or anything but it has been pretty well proven that K&N loses a bit of power and lets more debris through. Plus it pulls air from the engine bay rather than the stock that pulls it from the fender

However I have not seen much research on the 4 bangers, other than the fact that I have been told (heresay) that they don't respond well to CAIs.

Word. If you really want the best of both worlds go with a TRD or URD which draw air from outside the hot engine bay. The sound is kick ass IMO and the gains are minimal (3-4HP) but they exist so your not holding your engine back.

Yeah, the debris thing is pretty key too. I'm glad I made this poll.

I don't think TRD and URD make them for the 2.7L...?

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw your reply to my post in TW Live.

He did not take the CAI. I was curious to see if it was going to work out for him. But I agree with everyone, stock intake is better than a CAI.
