29.5 mpg 08 4x4 2.7l. Wow!

    ipod charger and aux cable, scanguage 2, wet okole seat covers, 35% tint, toytec ultimate set at 2.5"
    I drove from nor cal to socal with a 50mph tailwind and got over 29mpg. My truck is completely stock. Usually i get 22 mpg. Amazing!

    Thank you tailwind. I got 26 in my ram one time and had to do the math likr 5 times because I thought there was no way in hell. So don't expect it all the time But congrats

    Wow. Just hope that you don't get the same wind as a headwind coming back. Aerodynamics really do make a hell of a difference...

    That's awesome, for sure! My best so far on the highway was just a tick over 27 mpg.....that's with a regular cab 2wd, 2.7L, auto....all stock save the AFE air filter.

    Just curious, what was your avg. speed? under 65?

    I get ~22 mpg, but I drive 75-80, so I guess I pay a premium for getting places quicker.

    It wasnt downhill. I rarely went over an indicated 65

    going up and down I-5 I get 17-18 MPG regularly at 70 MPH, cruised, with 265/75s and long travel, tires inflated at 45 PSI

    I got 21.1 going back from Tahoe to the bay. Mostly downhill from Tahoe to Sac with 4WD on, snow and rain. Once I got past the snow I was running around 60-70 depending on the road conditions.

    Then on the next tank I got 15.1 driving like an ass everywhere and only did like 15% highway driving on that tank.
