29.5 mpg 08 4x4 2.7l. Wow!

I drove from nor cal to socal with a 50mph tailwind and got over 29mpg. My truck is completely stock. Usually i get 22 mpg. Amazing!

Wow. Just hope that you don't get the same wind as a headwind coming back. Aerodynamics really do make a hell of a difference...

That's awesome, for sure! My best so far on the highway was just a tick over 27 mpg.....that's with a regular cab 2wd, 2.7L, auto....all stock save the AFE air filter.

29.5! No wonder, it's all downhill, right? : )
Just curious, what was your avg. speed? under 65?

I get ~22 mpg, but I drive 75-80, so I guess I pay a premium for getting places quicker.

I got 21.1 going back from Tahoe to the bay. Mostly downhill from Tahoe to Sac with 4WD on, snow and rain. Once I got past the snow I was running around 60-70 depending on the road conditions.

Then on the next tank I got 15.1 driving like an ass everywhere and only did like 15% highway driving on that tank.
