Maintenance Required!!!!

Ok so my maintenance required light flickers on when I turn my taco on...but goes off after a couple minutes...this might be an obvious question but when that light comes out what exactly does that mean? does it mean oil change, spark plugs, air filter? I can do all that myself but will the light stop coming out? or is it that the stealership has the only way to get the light to stop flickering?

just a note, last time I changed the oil was about 4 months...

 

When it comes on for me I get my oil changed and it goes...


Every 3 thousand miles... Lube it or lose it.

You have to reset the light after you do maintenace, I'm not sure how. Might say in the manual, my oil change lady always does it for me :d

 

It will flash for a while but eventually it will stay on if you don't reset it. Mine does it every so often too...I think it's basically a reminder to change the oil/do reg. maintenance. I can't ever remember how to reset it unless I'm actually doin it...someone will let ya know how to do it shortly I'm sure.

I believe it starts flashing on at 4500 miles and stays on longer and longer untill 5000 when it is constantly lit. The factory recomended OCI is 5K miles and the light is the reminder. Just reset it when you cange the oil
