I was around 420k-ish 450k-ish total miles with my 85 xtra cab before I sold it.

Paid cash for it when I bought it. Wish I would have kept it. Spent the big money back in the earlier TRD days for the cam and parts. bored and ported 22R. it was 180hp as per the college chassis dyno. The kid who ended up with it took it out and jumped it,, spreading the frame rails.

Didn't quite get what I initally paid for it, but it was close. Some kid stole it and ran over a old guy with it, once it was found it was locked up in a investigation for a bit. Got it back and about 6 months later someone peeled out the Xtra cab window and made off with about $3K worth of replacement radio gear and assorted items, they stole the new alarm that never fired off,,lol.

Time to sell at that point, truck was cursed.

Are you trying to put it in 4L while already moving? 4L has a really low maximum speed.

1998 2.7 136,000. Replaced starter, rear leafs + shocks and a blinker bulb in the entire time I've owned it. Bought it when it had 70k. Most dependable car EVER

bought mine brand spanking new in Jan 2004 and I now have 71,000. Replaced the front o2 senor. Power steering has leaked forever, A/C belt squeals, stabilizer end links leak. Warped my front rotor and snapped a lug nut stud off. Now I'm having emission codes. Might need a new charcoal canister?
Still after all of this I baby her and drive her slow. I love my truck!

Mine just hasn't been as reliable as others. A few things like snapping the lugnut stud was just me changing a flat tire. happened all the time on my Nissan hardbody. O2 went bad at 38,000 miles. Power steering pump always had a film of fluid all over the pump and the left side of the engine bay. Can't tell where it's coming from. clean it off and it fine for a few months and suddenly it's all over the place again.
Little nick knack stuff I'll need to attend to.
Has always started and gotten me to where I need to go.
