Just to be clear.. so there's no maintenance needed on timing chains? Just drive and not worry about it?

Only thing about a most timing belts is that they often drive the water pump. So in the past when I changed the timing belt on my Accords, the maintenance manual also called for changing the water pump. I don't know if these chain driven engines call for a certain interval to change the water pump.

Anyway got love having an engine with 240,000 miles and the only maintenance ever done is replace the timing belt/water pump twice, and change the oil/spark plugs/air filter regularly!

It is much cheaper to just change out the water pump when doing a timing belt change instead of waiting for if or when it fails. The timing chain doesn't drive the water pump. The water pump is changed when it fails.
