4.10 gears I believe in a pre runner, if you have a locker button, its open until locked, no locker button...... well I dunno , I'm in a reg cab.:)

4.10 stock. ya its just comes off the stock assembly and gets bolted up to the new assebmly...well with the powertrax i think its more simple since its a lunchbox but with a detroit or ARB locker its what i mentioned.

if your gonna lock and go with 33's or bigger i would highly recommend looking to do the locker and gears at one time. spending the coin to do it 2x makes absolutely no sense

there is no, absoletly no, 4 cylinder that will have a locker from the factory so the button thing and crap is out the window!

to install a locker you need: locker, install kit

i knew there was no locker. my restarted friend who has the exact same truck as me but in pyrite mica insists that our trucks come with a locker. i just refrain from telling him hes wrong because hes the type that thinks he knows it all and doesnt like to be wrong.

haha we all got that kind of friend. if you go over 255/85/16 or 285/75/16 id go with 4.56 but some people "say" to go with 4.30. i havent met anyone running the 4.30 but ya you could go that way but the 4.56 puts you right at stock gearing.

drew02a is a prime example for running 4.56 with 33's. he has a 4x4 reg cab 4 cylinder and runs it and is damn happy with it! pm him if you really interested, i have and he has helped me out a lot!

i know what you mean about not doing it now. i got an arb sitting in my apartment but wont be installing till i need new tires because i want to do 4.56 gears and dont want to run small tires with that high of gearing. another thing to take into consideration if you really want to regear....are you going to be keeping the tires 33" or greater? if you arent then regearing makes no sense just deal with the sluggishness.

I didnt know they made a prerunner reg cab, nice. Mine is base 4x4 ,so I dont have all the prerunner details in my mind anymore from the test drives.
