I have a 2002 2.7L auto 4x4 and i dont know the current gearing i have. I was wondering if i were to go from 225/75R15 tires to 30in tires if regearing would be necessary and if the 30in tires would decrease my mpg and acceleration to much

    I had 3.58s and went from 29s to 31s and I wish I re-geared - I am finally changing the gears.

Very underpowered on hills and especially high altitude in Colorado. Lower speeds are fine but highway speeds I constantly had to shift down to 4th gear for more power.

If you have something like 3.91 or 4.10s - you should be fine.

Or just try it and worry about changing gears later.

Also my speedo wasn't effected much. All of my speeding tickets were exactly what I was going. Everyone said it will affect it but that was not the case for me.

You will be fine even with 31s or 32s
