I was at the local autozone getting some oil for my 98 I4 lowboy single cab and i was looking over the oil filters and i saw the K&N filter, the autozone guy said that K&N is one of the best oil filters in the market and that one can keep the same oil filter for 2 oil changes. Any of you guys ever hear about this? that the K&N oil filter can withstand 2 oil changes.... I bought the K&N filter to test it out.

Most high quality oil filters are good for 10-15,000 miles, however, you need to take the filter off to get all of the oil out of the engine. I just change it every oil change. Since I have to take the old one off, I might as well put a new one on. JMO. BTW, K&N oil filters are very good. The 1 inch nut is nice too.
