K&N or AFE Cold Air Intake

hi i am looking at buying a cold air in take wich would be the best of the two. (K&N - AFE) Also if i do get a intake would i still need to get a air filter. Just wondering because k&N are cheaper but is afe better? I dont mind to spend the extra if it is worth it.

if it states it is for a v6 tacoma will it still work on the 4cyl? some of the people said they put one in on there 4cyl.

suppopsedly AFE's air filter is a bit more fine than the K&N's one, supposedly letting in just as much air but not as much debris. or so i've heard. & if you buy a CAI it should come with a re-useable, washable filter.

 

CAI are a pure waste of money on the Tacomas. Stock intakes take the coldest air possible from the wheel wells, so any ohter modification such as a whole new system would take air from the hot hot engine bay. Thus reducing you power and mileage (search button). Just get the AFE pro-dry s filter for under $40 shipped to your house from Autoanthing.com. Do yourself a faver and just get the reusable filter for the stock intake manifold and save yourself a headache and a hole in your wallet.

Neither. Save your money and just drop in a pro dry s and REMOVE the charcoal screen filter behind it. That right there will increase throttle response better than spending money on a "CAI"
